Anu Bulusu is a seasoned technology leader, entrepreneur, and consultant with extensive expertise in enterprise technology solutions, artificial intelligence, and data science. She has built a distinguished career with leading technology and consulting organisations, including HP, Microsoft, and Deloitte, and has co-founded and successfully scaled two technology services firms, INRY and L5.ai. Her professional experience spans organisations across North America, Asia, Europe, and Australia, where she has helped businesses modernise operations, implement AI-driven strategies, and leverage data science for automation and informed decision-making. Her areas of expertise include enterprise software, digital transformation, AI-powered automation, advanced analytics, technology migration, workflow optimisation, and AI adoption strategies.
Ms. Bulusu holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama, USA, where she also worked as a research assistant at the Global Hydrology and Climate Center. Her research contributions included work on Macroscale Hydrologic Modeling for Regional Climate Assessment Studies. Committed to continuous professional development, she has participated in executive education programmes, including the Owners/President’s Management (OPM) programme at Harvard Business School. She continues to advise organisations of varying sizes on harnessing emerging technologies to improve productivity, operational excellence, scalability, and strategic growth.
BV Ramana Rao is a distinguished agricultural meteorologist with a career spanning more than four decades. He began his academic career at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, where he taught Agricultural Meteorology from 1966 to 1979. He subsequently joined the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), serving in several key capacities until his superannuation in April 2000. He served as Head of the Division of Climatology, Wind Power, and Solar Energy Utilization at ICAR–Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI), Jodhpur, and later became the Founder Project Coordinator of the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Agrometeorology at ICAR–Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), Hyderabad, from December 1984 to March 1994.
Professor Rao has made foundational contributions to agrometeorology, particularly in agroclimatic characterisation, delineation of efficient cropping zones, crop-weather modelling, agricultural drought classification and management, and operational agrometeorology. He has published more than 150 research papers, including approximately 50 papers in high-impact international journals. He has also authored 55 books and monographs, along with numerous technical and scientific bulletins. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Agrometeorology for 14 years, from 2009 to 2023. He received the prestigious British Council Fellowship in 1986–87 for advanced training at the University of Reading, UK. In recognition of his lifelong contributions, he was honoured as an Honorary Fellow in 2011 and received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2025 from the Association of Agrometeorologists.
Surender Singh is an accomplished agrometeorologist with more than 35 years of experience in teaching, research, extension, and academic administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Agrometeorology and has served at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, in several important positions, including Principal Scientist, Professor and Head, Senior Scientist, Assistant Scientist, Advisor (Recruitments), and Associate Director (Students’ Counseling and Placement). A meritorious scholar, he received two Gold Medals—one for outstanding research work during his doctoral studies and another for the Best Ph.D. Dissertation, presented by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India. He was also awarded the UK Universities Vice-Chancellors’ Scholarship twice under the Commonwealth Fellowship Programme.
Dr. Singh’s international academic experience includes postdoctoral fellowships at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Italy; Instituto Agronômico, Brazil; and BOKU-Met, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria. His scholarly contributions include more than 260 publications, 70 books and monographs, technical bulletins, and book chapters. He has served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Agrometeorology and Vice President of the Association of Agrometeorologists. His international collaborations include work with MARCO, Japan, and SPARC, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He has contributed to global scientific initiatives through roles on the WMO Expert Team on Agrometeorology, the WMO Core Committee on Agriculture–Drought, and as an external expert for research project evaluation with the COST Association, European Union. He has mentored numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students and represented India at several international scientific forums. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to agrometeorological science, he was honoured as a Fellow of the Association of Agrometeorologists (FAAM) in 2024.
