Emotionally Intelligent Digital Workplaces: Artificial Intelligence, Emotional Intelligence and Work-Life Harmony explores the emerging intersection of artificial intelligence, emotional intelligence and human well-being in digitally enabled work environments. The book examines how AI is moving beyond automation and data-driven decision-making toward systems capable of recognizing, interpreting and responding to human emotions. It discusses affective computing, emotion recognition, human-AI collaboration, knowledge graphs, generative AI, multimodal sensing, adaptive interfaces and AI-powered approaches to work-life harmony.
The volume also addresses digital fatigue, emotional labour, employee well-being, digital detox, teacher well-being and AI-enabled education, while examining human-centred AI applications in retail and financial markets. Its later chapters extend the discussion to the technological infrastructure required for next-generation intelligent systems, including blockchain-assisted IoT security, heterogeneous system-on-chip architectures and FPGA-based spiking neural networks. Through this multidisciplinary approach, the book presents emotionally intelligent technology not merely as an automation tool, but as a means of supporting empathy, well-being, responsible innovation and sustainable productivity in digital workplaces.
