I felt the need of a suitable objective type book on animal genetics and breeding, nutrition, and livestock production and management to meet the requirement of the undergraduate students. Presently, I also feel the necessity not less than I find the students getting lost time in larger volumes of books on different aspects. This inspired me to write multiple choice books on the subjects specially meant for the students of B.V.Sc. & A.H., civil services aspirants and general educationists. This book deals comprehensively in all important aspects of animal genetics and breeding, nutrition and livestock management. In this book I don’t pretend to claim credit for any original contribution on the subject rather than it should be viewed as a concise collection of various important topics. This book has been divided into 3 sections dealing with animal genetics and breeding, animal nutrition, livestock production and management, respectively. I am indebted to Dr. Deepti Bodh, Assistant professor in department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology for her generous and sincere help and advice while writing this book. My thanks are also due to one of my graduating student Dr. Ramanpreet Singh Sandhu for the support rendered by him. The contribution of the co-authors of the book is duly acknowledged. I shall be failing in my duties if I don’t mention the name of my teacher Dr. Amresh Kumar, former Vice-Chancellor of G.B.
