This book aims to be a basic and fundamental book for the students and researchers in numerical solving. The book has been designed in a very simple language. Formulas have been presented in the most fundamental and basic calculations. The book has been divided into several chapters and broadly reflects the need of such subject selection as most of the calculations in agriculture pertains to those areas. This proceeds with the most basic and fundamental conversions and formulas required for computing a calculation. Most of the units, dimensions and relevant symbols have been noted in the form of their actual notations. The book covers subjects like: • Agriculture Economics • Agriculture Statistics • Agriculture Engineering • Irrigation and water Management • Soil Chemistry and Fertility • Soil water Conservation and Watershed Engineering • Agronomy • Crop Protection and Plant Pathology • Plant Breeding and genetics • Plant Physiology and Biochemistry

Preface Formulas are the gateways of solving problems. Capability of solving problem is an useful skill and art. Agriculture has a vast canvas of computing calculations. Advanced computing tools are available in the form of computers, scientific calculators and other machines to do this duty but at the same time, human intervention cannot be oversighted and negated in operating this. Even, programming the machines also require ever trained and ready problem solving skills of students and researchers. This book just aims to be a basic and fundamental book for the students and researchers in numericals solving. The book has been designed in a very simple language. Formulas have been compiled to present the most fundamental and basic calculations. Simpler formulas can train a person for advance computing. However, some of the formulas have been edited and made into simpler terms of understanding nevertheless loosing their relevance. We hope that most of the fields of Agricultural science is covered in this book. However, no way this book is complete. We aim only to assist in the beginning level of problem solving and for any renewed interests in the subject, readers may consult any good book. Some of the books have been referred to and listed in the end whereas a suggestion has also been given for further reading
