Preface After the rediscovery of Gregor Johann Mendel’s laws, modern world witnesses the paradigm shifts in research in the field of Genetics. Genetics played a key role in Plant Breeding to understand and develop modern semi dwarf varieties in rice and wheat that lead to achieve self sufficiency in developing countries in Asia and other parts of the world. Therefore, genetics gains an important place in the field of Agriculture. As agriculture is a back bone of any country to sustain its development.
