CINCHON, a place where the Countess Ann, a wife of the 4^th Count of CINCHON lived. She was cured by tertian fever in 1638 by the use of cinchona bark. Its virtues were made known to Europe in 1640. Synthetic seeds are also known as somatic seeds, artificial seeds, clonal seeds and synseeds. They are analogue for botanical seeds. Somatic embryoids which are tissue culture produced embyoids with bipolar structures, apical and basal meristematic regions which are capable of forming shoot and root respectively. Somatic embryoids are encapsulated and are used as artificial seeds possessing the ability to convert into plants in in vitro and ex vitro conditions. Artificial seeds are broadly two types.

2.0. Word Formation

The term ‘word formation’ does not impart an exact, universally endorsed usage. It focuses on all processes associated to changing the form of the word by, for example, affixation basically refers to morphology. In broad sense word formation depicts the processes of forming new lexical units. These changes can be noticed and understood easily, sometimes it becomes complex too.

Around the world, nearly one billion people live along the 3,12,000 Km long coastline. The Indian coastline runs around 8,129 Km distributed along nine coastal states, two groups of islands and two union territories. The coastal ecosystem of India forms a very valuable resource community, supporting the livelihood security of several million rural poor and also contributing the national economy in a large measure. The latest estimates by National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning (NBSS & LUP), Nagpur, India, using Global Assessment of Soil Degradation (GLASOD) guidelines indicate that the coastal area in the country is spread over an area of 11.8 million hectares (Mishra, 2005). Five genospecies of intestinal spirochaetes have been isolated from pigs namely Brachyspira hyodysenteriae,B. pilosicoli, B. innocens, Serpulina intermedia and S. murdochii. The genera Serpulina and Brachyspira were recently combined. These anaerobic spirochaetes have six to fourteen spirals and are 0.1 to 0.5 μm in width.
Usual Habitat
Pathogenic Brachyspira species are found in the intestinal tract of both clinically affected and normal pigs. Carrier pigs can shed B.hyodysenteriae for up to three months and are the principal source of infection for healthy pigs.
Differentiation of Brachyspira Species
The differentiation of B.hyodysenteriae from other intestinal spirochaetes is based on its pattern of haemolysis on blood agar. Tests for detecting indole production or the hydrolysis of hippurate are also useful diagnostically. Restriction endonnclease analysis, restriction fragment length polymorphism, ribotyping using 16s rRNA analysis, PCR-based assays and multilocus enzyme electrophoresis have been developed both for differentiating species and for distinguishing strains of organisms within species. Brachyspira hyodysenteriae isolates can also he allocated to several serogroups and serotypes.
Pathogenesis
Most information on the pathogenesis of Brachyspira species derives from studies of B.hyodysenteriae. Motility in mucus is an essential virulence factor of thisorganism; mutant strains with altered motility are lesscapable of colonizing the pig intestine. Colonization may be enhanced by factors in mucuswith chemotactic activity for the organisms. Factors with such chemotactic activities have been demonstrated in vitro. Haemolytic activity,demonstrated in vitro, correlates with pathogenicity andthree genes encoding haemolytic and cytotoxic activityhave been cloned and sequenced.

Sulfate can have harmful effects on aquatic life in freshwaters, sulfate cause osmotic stress or specific ion toxicity in aquatic organisms, especially in soft waters where Ca2+ and Mg2+ concentrations are low. Egg fertilization and early embryonic development were the most sensitive developmental stages of whitefish to sulfate (Karjalainen et al., 2021).

Turbidimetric Method (Range 1 - 40 mg/L of sulphate) Principle
Sulphate ion (SO4 2-) precipitated with barium chloride (BaCl2) in an acetic acid medium in order to form crystals of barium sulphate (BaSO4).

The formation of these crystals is increased in the presence of an acetic acid solution containing sodium acetate, potassium nitrate, acetic acid and magnesium chloride. The suspended barium sulphate (BaSO4) is measured by spectrophotometer and concentration of sulphate (SO4 2-) is determined by comparison of the reading with a standard curve. Minimum detectable concentration is approximately 1 mg (SO4 2-) / L.

A number of animals are used in this country for conducting a variety of experiments. There has been a long felt need to prescribe guidelines and procedures for animal experimentation covering all aspects. The Central Government has constituted a Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) under PCA Act 1960 to ensure that experimental animals are not subjected to unnecessary pain or suffering before, during or after the performance of experiment on them. For this purpose the government has made “Breeding of and Experiment on Animals (Control and Supervision) Rules, 1998 as amended during 2001 and 2006 to regulate the experimentation on animal. Under these provisions, the concerned establishments are required to get themselves registered with CPCSEA, form IAEC, get their Animal House Facilities inspected, and also get specific projects for research cleared by CPCSEA before commencing the research on animals. Further, breeding and trade of animals for such experimentation are also regulated under these Rules.

Fidelity

Fidelity is said to exist in a communication situation when there is no distortion of the message from the time it leaves the source until it is received. The most effective communication occurs when the message transmitted and the message received are identical i.e., when complete fidelity is there. Some communication theorists believe that complete fidelity can never be achieved that no message is ever received exactly as it was intended by the source. This seems likely, since the source and receiver always have different frames of reference. It is clear, however, that the fidelity of any communication can be vastly improved by several methods.

Experimental unit : An experimental unit is the material to which is applied the treatment and on which the variable under study is measured. In an agricultural field experiment, the plot of land, not the individual plant, will be the experimental unit; in a feeding experiment of cows,the whole cow is the experimental unit; in human experiments in which the treatment affects the individual, the individual will be the experimental unit.

Treatment : The different procedures under comparison in an experiment are the different treatments, i.e in an agricultural experiment, the different varieties of a crop or the different manures will be the treatments. In a dietary or medical experiment, the different diets or medicines, etc. are the treatments.

The eyes burn and itch with great discomfort. The patient sneezes and experiences coolness at the root of the nose. There may be acute running nose with dull headache and fever. At times the nose is blocked. The face is hot, flushed, dark red and looks like that of fool. The skin is very hot. The temperature goes up. There is itching and tickling in the soft palate, in the throat and in the nasopharynx. The throat feels rough; it burns. At times there is the feeling of a lump in the throat, which cannot be swallowed. There is pain in the temples, in the throat, radiating towards the ear. The entire system of the ears, nose and throat appears to be affected.

The total plate count (TPC) is also called the Bacterial plate count (BPC), aerobic plate count, standard plate count (SPC), total viable count (TVC) or mesophilic count represents the number of colony forming units (CFU) per g (or per mL) of growing microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast and mold on a nonspecific solid bacteriological growth medium under the specified conditions. Temperature, incubating time, medium type, and any other conditions used in the enumeration varies upon reference standards and laboratory objectives. Laboratories participating in the program choose their own routine conditions.
Principle
Usually direct count of too many bacteria in a sample is difficult but the bacterial colonies may be used as a measure of the bacterial cells in the known serially dilution and plated out on an agar surface in such a way that single isolated bacteria form visible isolated colonies. However, colony-forming unit might actually consist of a chain of bacteria rather than a single bacterium if the organism often develops various cell configurations, such chains. Furthermore, a portion of the bacteria might be grouped together. Thus, typically refer to the process of using the plate count technique as a means of estimating the number of colony forming units (CFUs) in that known solution. Then further this figure use to extrapolate the total amount of CFUs present in the original sample.
