I. INTRODUCTION

The Websites are soaked in information, much of it with varying degrees of copyright protection. In fact, the reality is that almost everything on the Net is protected by copyright law. E-business Websites are a composition of materials, often consisting of words, graphics, audio, and video that are expressed to the consumer as information content. The owners and Website developers carefully select the content to sell the company’s product or service. The subject matter expressed in the site is an electronic publication of this content. Since, designing, producing, and maintaining a sophisticated Website is very expensive, protecting content ownership is extremely important. Electronic commerce will continue to be highly competitive. As Websites become more and more interactive with consumers, their creation, design, and maintenance place enormous demands on innovative marketing techniques that should be legally protected.

Never before has it been so easy to violate a copyright owner’s exclusive right to copy the material. Everyone with a computer and an Internet connection creates his own Web pages and thus become a publisher. Hence the rules that once applied to only a few companies bind million of people now. Imagine having paid a Website developer hundreds of thousands of rupees to launch a killer application and acquiring millions of Rupees from a venture capitalist firm, only to discover that another e—business is using your online material. Or consider a scenario where your Website is linked to an e-business that displayed copyrighted material without the owner’s consent. Could your company be liable under a theory of copyright infringement? This paper highlights the scenario when contents of your Website are exploited by others without your permission or knowledge. The discussion is centered on copyright issues involved in the practices of linking, inlining and framing technologies which are normally being used on the Internet.

Introduction

Papaya has long been known as the wonder fruit of the tropics and is one of the five major fruit crops of the tropical world. Papaya fruits throughout the year are a remunerative fruit crop which is grown in almost every part of the country. Next to bananas, it has the highest yield and income per unit. It is generally grown as a fruit plant in kitchen gardens, home gardens, or nutrition gardens and later as a commercial fruit. Papaya is usually dioecious, but hermaphrodite and gynodioecious types are also Recognized. It is the most remunerative crop (highest net return/unit area) of any other fruit crop. India is the 4^th largest producer in the world. Karnataka has the highest production and productivity in India. A valuable proteolytic enzyme is called papain, which helps in the digestion of protein-rich foods. Transgenic PRSV resistant varieties: Sunup and Rainbow were created from coat protein genes grown in Hawaii in 1992.

Introduction
 Banana is a common man's fruit grown in about seven lakh ha area in India. Apart from fruit, banana crop generate huge quantity of waste biomass in the form of pseudostem, leaves, suckers, etc. This biomass is absolute waste in most of the states of India as of now. Further farmers are spending about Rs. 15000 to 20000/ha for disposing off this waste from their fields. The present mode of disposing off pseudostem waste in nallas, borrow pits, road side, burning etc., which are causing environmental problems. In order to utilize this waste particularly pseudostem for developing different products, a project titled; “A Value Chain on Utilization of Banana Pseudostem for Fibre and Other Value Added Products” was sanctioned under NAIP in consortium mode by ICAR, New Delhi during 2008. The project entitled, “Establishment of Secondary Agriculture unit for skill development in students and farmers” was sanctioned by PIU, under the aegis of NAHEP-CAAST sub project in 2018. Under this project “Value addition and waste management of horticultural produces” was examined in special reference to banana pseudostem as supplemental raw material for NOVEL pesticide and fungicide. In view of this, Soil and Water Management Research Unit, N.A.U., Navsari have worked in consortium comprises of Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (CIRCOT), ICAR, Mumbai, Manmade Textile Research Association (MANTRA), Surat and J. K. Mills Ltd., Songadh as the partners. The basic aim of this project was to develop different value added products using presently waste banana pseudostem as raw material. As envisaged in project proposal, the value added products viz; Fibre and nonwoven fabrics, handmade papers and boards, vermi-compost, enriched sap (NAUROJI Novel organic liquid nutrient) and candy have been developed which are techno economically viable. The viability is substantiated by the fact that more than ten private parties have already signed MoU with NAU, Navsari for commercial production and marketing of organic liquid nutrient prepared using banana pseudostem sap and central core candy. Simultaneously, processes for the products like microcrystalline cellulose from Fibre, sap as a mordant in textile dying, pseudostem scutcher based vermicompost as fish feed, etc. have also been standardized during the current project period. This has become possible due to highly dedicated efforts put in by the team of scientists from all the four partners and full moral boosting supports by their authorities in implementing the project smoothly.

This chapter introduces environmental management and automation in greenhouse production. It explains how temperature, light, humidity, carbon dioxide and root-zone conditions influence plant growth and flower quality. The chapter discusses ventilation, evaporative cooling, supplemental lighting, sensors, automation systems, solar greenhouses and retractable greenhouses. It also introduces government support and guidelines for protected cultivation, including MIDH assistance. The chapter emphasizes precision environmental control, resource-use efficiency and technology-enabled production.

Abstract

Water is an indispensable natural resource for sustaining the environment, supporting life and responsible for sustainable agricultural growth and development wherein agricultural sector is the major user of the water resource. The integrated management of water resources could only be possible through adoption of efficient and optimum use of irrigation water, which could only be ensured by judicious and economic use of irrigation potential whatsoever created to increase crop production. The integrated water resources management also includes the concept of rainwater management that has got an immense important on the way to develop the rainfed farming system. Previously, rainfed agriculture was associated primarily with conservational land treatments to check soil erosion and land degradation. But in the areas of medium to heavy rainfall, there is ample scope of tapping excess rain water through suitable water harvesting structures constructed for this purpose for its subsequent uses as irrigation or to apply lifesaving irrigation to the crops which should also come under the purview of water management for crop production.

Pomegranate is an ancient and important fruit. It is grown for its delicious and juicy pink arils (outer growth of seed) which are eaten fresh (Keskar et al., 1993). Fresh fruit is of exquisite quality while its processed products like bottled juice, syrups and jelly are highly appreciated. The juice is considered useful for patients suffering from leprosy. Fruit juice easily fermented and may be used for the production of wine. Juice of wild pomegranate is used in the manufacture of citric acid and sodium citrate for medicinal purpose. Pomegranate is known best for curing the chronic stomach ailment. Seeds of pomegranate contain oil which has a potential for industrial use. Sour aril of the wild types can be utilized for the preparation of anardana.

Introduction 
In 1804, Nicolas Theodore de Saussure demonstrated that plants don’t uptake carbon from the humus, rather it comes from the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. He further stated that soil is source of plant nutrients. Subsequently in 1840, Carl Sprengel proposed law of minimum which mean the growth is regulated by scarcest (minimum available) resource instead of total resources. During the same time, Justus von Liebig observed that the chemical elements nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) are essential for the plant growth. He strongly popularized the theory of mineral nutrients and law of minimum by developing the barrel with multiple holes at different height and filling water in it. It has opened the door of fertilizers industries; therefore, Justus von Liebig has been described as the “father of the fertilizer industry”. Consequently, many fertilizer companies started producing various chemical fertilizers all over the world. This had increased the productivity of the various crops. In India the first fertilizer factory which produced Single Super Phosphate (SSP) was started in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu in 1906 (Chaudhary, 2023). Before, green revolution we have established fertilizers industries of Ammonium Sulphate (1933), Ammonium Sulphate Nitrate (1959), Urea (1959), Ammonium Chloride (1959), Ammonium Phosphate (1960), Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (1961), Nitro phosphate (1965) and Di Ammonium Phosphate (1967). The green revolution ushered in 1967-68 was due to introduction of input responsive high yielding dwarf variety of wheat and use of chemical (mineral) fertilizers. These chemical fertilizers alone were responsible for increasing the yield of wheat by 233 per cent (Khunt et al. 2014&2015). If chemical fertilizers would not have been used for the crop production, we would not be in the position to feed the burgeoning human population. In the pursuit of increasing productivity, we injudiciously used chemical fertilizers and overlooked the deleterious effect of it on animal, human and environmental health. Production and use of chemical fertilizers, has increased the level of Green House Gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere. To reduce GHGs and their environmental impact, alternate source of plant nutrients viz., Farm Yard Manures (FYM), composts, organic waste-derived amendments, biofertilizers, etc. started gaining popularity. Limited availability of additional land for crop production, along with declining yield growth for major food crops, have heightened concerns about agriculture’s ability to feed a world population expected to exceed 7.5 billion by the year 2020. Decreasing soil fertility has also raised concerns about the sustainability of agricultural production at current levels. Future strategies for increasing agricultural productivity will have to focus on using available nutrient resources more efficiently, effectively, and sustainably than in the past. Management of the nutrients needed for proper plant growth, together with effective crop, water, soil, and land management, will be critical for sustaining agriculture over the long term. Plants, like all other living things, need food for their growth and development. Growth is the function of various factors like light, carbon dioxide gas, water and mineral nutrients. Plants require 16 essential elements. Carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen are derived from the atmosphere and soil water. The remaining 13 essential elements (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, zinc, manganese, copper, boron, molybdenum, and chlorine) are supplied either from soil minerals and soil organic matter or by organic or inorganic fertilizers. For plants to utilize these nutrients efficiently, light, heat, and water must be adequately supplied. Cultural practices and control of diseases and insects also play important roles in crop production. Each type of plant is unique and has an optimum nutrient range as well as a minimum requirement level. Below this minimum level, plants start to show nutrient deficiency symptoms. Excessive nutrient uptake can also cause poor growth because of toxicity. Therefore, the proper amount of application and the placement of nutrients are important.

The chemical composition and digestibility of feedstuffs influence their nutritive value for animal production. Therefore, assessment of nutritive value of feedstuffs continues to be one of the top priority areas in animal production research. Although traditionally the feedstuffs were evaluated by performance studies and digestion trials, such techniques are expensive and requires more time and labour. Continued search for alternatives to animal feeding experiments have led to the development of feed evaluation systems that are rapid and economical.

In general, there are two kinds of laboratory analyses — Chemical analyses and Biological tests with rumen micro-organisms or purified enzymes. Biological tests give direct estimates of digestibility, but are lengthier and more expensive. Chemical analyses are cheaper and rapid, but do not give direct estimates of nutritive value. The statistical association between the chemical components and quality need to be established to predict the nutritive value.

Abstract

Gender Budgeting was first introduced in 1985 and is being implemented globally by more than 50 countries to ensure gender equality goals. India took initial steps towards analysing the gender gap through “Towards Equality” a Report of the Committee on the Status of Women by the Government of India in 1974. Gender based resource allocation in the country was seen from 1990s onwards in the Eighth Five Year Plan (1992-97) when for the first time gender perspective and the need to ensure definite flow of funds from general developmental sectors to women was emphasised upon. Women constitute 49% of human population in India so it is extremely important that the untapped gender potential is recognized, reorganised and utilized efficiently & effectively to attain a leading position in S&T sector. India has expanded her R&D base immensely since the turn of the 21^st century. Consequently there has been 10 times enhancement in enrolment of women in S&T disciplines in institutions of higher education since 1989-90. Department of Science and Technology has taken many steps in recent past to strengthen the ecosystem to empower women in S&T domain, particularly by enabling over 4000 of them who had a break in career, primarily due to familial responsibilities, to make a dignified comeback. Several Role Models, who have shown their mettle and made a mark in the chosen field, are emerging and engaging & encouraging the young, Gen Next girls.

The types of crops and the practices used to grow them and the sequence in which they are grown altogether refers to cropping system. It comprises of all components required for the crop production and their relationships with the environment. Traditionally the cropping systems aim at maximizing the per unit area productivity, which can be done by growing improved high yielding varieties, by adequate and scientific crop management practices and by increasing cropping intensities with the help of different cropping patterns.

In today’s world cropping system should produce more, at the same time the practices should be ecologically and environmentally sustainable. There should be efficient utilization of land and water. It should be designed to conserve soil, soil moisture and improve soil resilience.

A. Locale of Research
The research focused on the rural areas of Haringhata Block in Nadia district, West Bengal. This region was selected for the investigation due to several key reasons:
a) There is significant potential to gather pertinent data relevant to the current study within this area.
b) The researchers’ familiarity with the local population and proficiency in the local language facilitate more effective data collection and communication.
c) The region’s proximity to the researchers’ residences made it highly convenient for them to conduct fieldwork.

OVERVIEW OF CANNING MACHINERIES
Canning is a food preservation method where selected raw materials are prepared, packed into containers such as tin, glass, or plastic jars, and sealed airtight. The contents are then heated to a sufficient temperature to destroy spoilage and pathogenic agents within the container, followed by rapid cooling to prevent overcooking. Canning extends the shelf life of foods, ranging typically from one to five years, with some products like freeze-dried lentils lasting up to 30 years.
Can Manufacturing Machinery and Equipment
• Can Body Reformer: Can bodies are often supplied collapsed to save space and ease transportation. The can body reformer shapes them into cylindrical forms, preparing them for further processing.
• Flanger: The cylindrical can bodies are flanged by the flanger, which has two flanging dyes. These dyes form grooves at the edges, preparing the cans for sealing.
• Seaming Machine: The seaming machine is used to close the open end of the can. It features a base plate to hold the can and an upper plate that presses the lid onto the can. The machine uses two seaming rollers (first and second) to seal the can tightly.
• Can Leakage Tester: After sealing, the cans are tested for leakage by immersion in water. If any leakage is detected due to improper sealing, it indicates that the can is faulty.
• Flange Rectifier: Cans that have been bent, deformed, or crushed during the flanging process are rectified using the flange rectifier machine, ensuring the cans are in proper shape for sealing.
• Can Coding Machine (Embossing Machine): This machine embosses codes on the cans, which include the product name, manufacturer details, and production date. It ensures proper identification and traceability of the product.c

The recent earthquake in Nepal brings back memories of 26th January 2001. While the nation was busy in celebrating Republic Day, an earthquake shattered Gujarat especially Kutch and Saurashtra regions. A large number of buildings and houses collapsed within moments. Thousands were injured and many lost their lives and many more became homeless.

Kutch received quick responses from all over the world and a large number of individuals, institutions, government and semi-government bodies, professional experts, religious and social organizations etc. sprang into action to bring back some normalcy in the lives. However, long-term rehabilitation program based on scientific planning is most vital after such disasters.

Landscaping refers to art and science of proper utilization of garden forms, methods and materials for the overall improvement of the place in such a way that it blends with surrounding and creates aesthetics. It is an approach to enhance the appearance of land by altering its contours, and planting trees, shrubs, climbers and various ornamental plants for aesthetic effects. It is the prerequisite for the urban areas that are highly polluted and densely populated. The urbanites now-a-days are facing many problems relating to the health because of imbalance in the environmental conditions.In today’s world, with the rapid pace of urbanization and the growing concern for climate change led to the increasing trend of bringing nature back into cities. Removal of greenery and replaced them with buildings and paved streets increase the surface radiation and air temperature that result to drier and hotter environment for urban cities compared to the rural areas. In this context, the demand for planned and creative exterior landscaping increases which allows the man to re-create an aesthetic environment with breath taking life. Exterior landscaping is the means of bringing man closer to the nature. It is also referred as outdoor landscaping and has gained wide popularity now-a-days because of the expansion of the urban areas along with increase interest of people towards healthier and cleaner environment.

Sustainable agriculture warrants a wise management of natural resources and inputs to satisfy human needs in the fast changing scenario while maintaining, if not improving, the quality of environment. Soil as a natural resource is facing more and more serious degradation threats under modern agriculture. Incidence and expansion of multi-nutrient deficiencies in Indian soils owing to inadequate and unbalanced nutrient input through fertilizers is considered one of the major reasons for decline in factor productivity of crops. The problem of soil fertility depletion is spectacular across the soil types and agro-climatic zones, but it is more acute in intensively cropped areas, where annual nutrient removal by the crops often far exceeds replenishments. Recent diagnostic surveys indicate that in several high productivity areas of irrigated ecosystems like, Trans-and Upper Gangetic Plain zones, farmers are resorting to even excessive use of fertilizers, especially N, to maintain the yields at levels attained previously with lower fertilizer application rates. With an unabated deterioration in soil health in general, and soil fertility in particular, and a mounting pressure on finite land resources due to increase in population, the interest in soil fertility and soil health has revived due to several reasons:

Stagnation in growth rates of production and productivity of staple foodgrains - threat to food security

Decline in factor productivity, thus increasing cost of production

Nutrient withdrawals in excess of replenishment

Low nutritional value of food and feed grown on nutrient-starved soils - threat to nutritional security

Poor quality of produce fetching low price - threat to economic security

The idea behind semen dilution is to extend its volume without affecting its fertility so that many females can be bred from an ejaculate. The basic components of semen extender are Tris buffer, fructose, glycerol, egg yolk and antibiotics.

Litchi is a delicious fruit and generally consumed as a table fruit. It is one of the most popular fruits of India which is commonly taken as fresh or in dried forms. Litchi is also recognized as “Queen of the fruits”. Dried litchi commonly known as ‘Litchi nut’ is very popular among the Chinese living all over the world. This subtropical fruit cannot tolerate frost in winter and dry heat in summer. An interesting feature of the litchi plant is the symbiotic growth of Mycorrhiza fungi on roots of the tree. These fungi form nodules on the roots of litchi. The trees and the fungus live together to benefit each other. Litchi makes an excellent canned fruit and highly flavoured squash is prepared from inferior fruits. Besides, fruit, other parts of the plant like leaves, bark and roots are also used for various purposes. In China leaves are used for making poultices, bark and roots for making decoctions for throat gargle.

Pre-Independence Rural Development Programmes

Rural development traces back its history to the seventeenth century when voluntary efforts to serve the mankind were initiated by a religious society of people known as ‘Friends’ or ‘Quakers’ in England, then the other parts of World including India. It aimed at providing services to mankind transcending bonds of religion, territory and culture. During the British period, the British government was never serious about the rural development. But, they acted under compelling situation like famines and economic distress. During 1800 to 1825, it was reported that there were five famines; during 1825 to 1850, two famines; during 1850 to 1875, six famines; and during 1875 to 1900, there were eighteen famines in different parts of the country. Famines forced the British government in to action. The Famine Commission of 1880, 1898, 1901, the Irrigation Committee of 1903, the Commission on Co-operation of 1915 and the Royal Commission on Indian Agriculture were the efforts of the Government to improve the economic condition of the common man, but seldom were the reports of the commissions implemented in right spirit. However, during these periods, the most active role in the field of rural development was played by the Christian missionaries who aimed at the all-round development of their Christian converts. In the year 1987, British Government heeding to the representation made by Manchester Cotton Supply Association established the Department of Revenue, Agriculture and Commerce. But, this department did not do much related to agriculture development except the collection of agricultural statistics.
