Introduction

AI plays a key role in management effectiveness and adaptation, especially in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) facing evolving markets (Lemos S. I. C., et al., 2022). Designing AI-based management frameworks enhances companies’ economic activities through data analysis and informed decision making (Emine, Kalender., 2023). Academic research shows a growing interest in AI in management, with a focus on effective adoption practices and potential areas for development (Jbid, Arsenyan., Anke, Piepenbrink. 2023). Artificial intelligence (AI) significantly influences decision-making processes in management by enhancing rationality, efficiency, and fairness. AI, through machine learning and big data analysis, reduces managerial bounded rationality, enabling a shift from satisficing to optimizing decision making modes (Shtepa, S., et. al., 2023). In human resource management AI-enabled interview analysis improves candidate selection by uncovering hidden patterns and mitigating biases, leading to more objective decisions (Rajneesh, Panwar. 2023). Additionally, by increasing productivity, efficacy and creativity, the incorporation of AI into business strategy transforms decision-making; nonetheless, ethical considerations and human oversight are essential for responsible implementation (Gonesh, C., et. al., 2023).

Bacterium is a single-celled microorganism that do not have cell organelles (mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, chloroplast etc.) or a true nucleus. Bacteria are microscopic, unicellular organism that belongs to the kingdom prokaryotes.

Size of Bacteria

Bacteria are microscopic organisms that are less than 3 micrometeres (μm) in size. Size of cocci range from 0.5 to 3 μm, and the size of a rod shaped bacteria range from 0.15 to 2 μm (width) to 0.5 to 20 μm (length).

Food security is paramount for developing any nation reliant upon sufficient crop production. The decline in crop production significantly impacts food security, leading to an imbalance between global food demand and agricultural output. Multiple factors contribute to reduced agricultural productivity, including abiotic factors like water scarcity, poor soils, and unsuitable temperatures, as well as biotic factors such as pests, diseases, and weeds attacking crops. These challenges result in inefficient input utilization and decreased crop yields, ultimately threatening food security. Pests, diseases, and weeds profoundly impact plant health, causing substantial losses in crop production. Geospatial technology is employed throughout the agricultural cycle, from initial crop health assessment to forecasting disease outbreaks. Despite the significant challenges global and local agriculture face in achieving optimal outputs and securing food for the world population, the wealth of geospatial data and technological advancements plays a crucial role. They aid decision-makers in formulating strategies to combat various pests and diseases affecting plant health and food crops, thereby contributing to improved agricultural outcomes and food security. This chapter provides a comprehensive appraisal of existing literature to elucidate the role of geospatial technologies, encompassing Geographic Information System (GIS), remote sensing, and the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), which are utilized for data collection, mapping, analyzing distribution, and predicting events related to plant health.

Animal flesh when consumed as food is known as meat. Meat was introduced into man’s diet early on during Stone Age when they were hunter and gatherer. Humans seem evolved to a meat diet based on the structure of teeth and the unsophisticated nature of our digestive system. Presently man used many varieties of animals’ species for producing meat however domesticated cattle, goat, sheep, buffalo, pig and poultry continue to be major contributor of meat to the ever increasing human population. Meat is one of the best and major sources of protein for human, meat protein content all the essential amino acid in required quantity and is easily assimilated by human guts. Plants are often subjected to unfavorable environmental conditions – abiotic factors, causing abiotic stresses - that play a major role in determining productivity of crop yields but also the differential distribution of the plants species across different types of environment. Some examples of abiotic stresses that a plant may face include decreased water availability, extreme temperatures (heating or freezing), decreased availability of soil nutrients and/or excess of toxic ions, excess of light and increased hardiness of drying soil that hamper roots growth. The ability of plants to adapt and/or acclimate to different environments is directly or indirectly related with the plasticity and resilience of photosynthesis, in combination with other processes, determining plant growth and development, namely reproduction. A remarkable feature of plant adaptation to abiotic stresses is the activation of multiple responses involving complex gene interactions and crosstalk with many molecular pathways.

In veterinary medicine, hospital management software is designed for all types of practices, ranging from small, single-vet ones to large ones with multiple locations and vets, and covers a wide range of hospital administration and management processes. It is an integrated end–to-end management system that provides relevant information across the hospital to support effective decision making for patient care, administration & critical financial accounting in a seamless flow. Specific areas of application include scheduling of appointments, registration of cases including client and patient data, case history and electronic medical records, health care reports, reminders, inventory controls, reports and accounting.

At country level, there is major paradiam shift from cropping systems towards farming system research in XI Plan period. The mandate of Project Directorate for Cropping Systems Research, Modipuram stands changed with focus on Farming Systems and re-named as Project Directorate for Farming Systems Research. w.e.f. 1.4.2009. The All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Cropping Systems with its 69 on-station and on-farm centres representing different agro-climatic zones of the country also stands re-named as AICRP on Integrated Farming Systems. As such, the much needed methodologies and procedures for planning, monitoring and interpretation of farming systems related data are not readily available. Therefore, some methodologies and procedures which can be adopted to execute Farming Systems Research for drawing meaningful conclusions are discussed here.

Introduction Fruits and vegetables are basic foods for human physical health since they have a wide range of flavours and are linked to a higher quality of life. Horticultural crops are known to reduce the risk of a variety of chronic diseases. Recognizing the importance of fruits and vegetables in the human diet, demand for these horticulture food products has skyrocketed. The demand for fruits and vegetables has expanded significantly as a result of greater consumer awareness of dietary habits, the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables, and an increase in the global population. According to research by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), horticulture product production for 2019 is expected to be 314.5 million tonnes, which is roughly 1% more than the global fruit and vegetable (F&V) production in 2017–2018. (FAOSTAT-FAO statistical database, 2019). Over 67 % of the world’s horticulture produce is produced in China, India, the United States, Turkey, Russia, Vietnam, and Mexico (Paggiola et al., 2016).

Livelihood connotes the means, activities, entitlements and assets by which people make a living, attempt to meet their various consumption and economic necessities, cope with uncertainties and respond to new opportunities (De Haan and Zoomers, 2003).

Livelihood is a set of economic activities, involving self-employment and/ or wage- employment by using one’s endowments (human and material) to generate adequate resources (cash and non-cash) for meeting the requirements of self and the household.

Ideally, a livelihood should keep a person meaningfully and gainfully occupied in a sustainable manner with dignity

Livelihood, therefore, goes far beyond generating income. A livelihood is much more than employment.

Global economies have witnessed very deepened financial integration in past decade and have more room for leverage. However, these integrations have also witnessed various turmoil in the economy in the form of Russian- Brazil debt crisis, Asian financial crisis, Dot com bubble, Argentina debt crisis, Global financial crisis and many more since 1990s. Due to the existence of globalization, these crises have impacted not only a particular economy but has extended its scope.

The previous studies have found the credit growth and asset prices as a leading indicator. Some studies also showed that the foreign exchange reserve, broad money supply and trade as variables were also statistically significant. These studies have used either the Signal Extraction Approach used by Kaminsky and Reinhart (1999) which used a threshold value as a limit for multiple variables beyond which a crisis signal is given. Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE)in Romania (Brezinski and Stephen, 2011) lost its attractiveness among foreign investors. However, there are not enough resources which focuses on Asian economies or India. The emergence of novel technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cloud computing, big data analytics, machine learning (ML), internet of things (IoT), and 3-D printing, commonly known as Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0), offers developing nations like India both significant opportunities and challenges. IR4.0 technologies, sometimes referred to as the “digital revolution,” have numerous uses in the industries of services, industry, and agriculture.

Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L. Family-Palmaceae) also known as Khajoor or Kharek is an ancient important fruit tree of semi-arid and arid regions of the world. It grows well under poor desertic soils due to its hardy plant characteristics and deep root system. It is also one of the most suitable fruit trees, which can be easily grown under saline conditions. Date palm grows as much as one feet per year, and as high as 80-100 feet under favorable environment. It is well known fact for date palm that its feet in the water and its head in sun. It requires dry hot climate for growth and development of fruits. In arid region, crop production is risky preposition, where date palm cultivation contributes in achieving food security, high nutritive value food, crop diversification, desertification control, income generation and foreign exchange earnings. It can be grown at such places, where adequate irrigation facility is available; besides, other climatic requirements (Chandra et al, 1992, Singh et al, 2007). The date tree has religious significance. The fruits are used during holy month of Ramzan by Muslim peoples. As Saudi Arabia is principal producer of date palm in the world, the palm tree is incorporated in the national emblem of Saudi Arabia to represent vitality and growth

In nature, microbes are found as a mixed population. The types that encounter the most favourable environmental and other growth conditions emerge in abundance while others that find the environment less favourable are fewer in number. However, for any kind of study on them or for their use as a pure species, they have to be separated from other species. The nutritional media or culture media are different for different species. As the medium is specific for certain species, it checks or restricts the growth of other microbes for which it may not be suitable. However, some growth of and contamination by unwanted species may occur.

SYNOPSIS

After the break-up of the Soviet Union in 1992, the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus (CAC) began making the transition from controlled to market economies. All of the countries have programs for economic and social development as well as food security. Over the last decade, the regional population increased 11%, from 72 million in 2002 to 79 million in 2012. Agricultural production has increased throughout the region. For example, vegetable production per decade has nearly doubled due to an increase in the area of the crops grown and to increased yields, and was more than 19 million t in 2011.

Information Technology (I.T.) with its multi advantageous services has influenced the working of every sector whether it is education, industries, livelihood, agriculture, and other sectors viz government, business, health, employment, environment and security etc. Consequently, taking the benefit of I.T.,  most of the organizations have automated their systems to perform their routine activities in a better way as well as to offer more improved services.

6.1 Introduction

The analysis of issues in agricultural credit in India reveals that the credit delivery to the agriculture sector continues to be inadequate. It appears that the banking system is still hesitant on various grounds to purvey credit to small and marginal farmers. The situation calls for concerted efforts to augment the flow of credit to agriculture, alongside exploring new innovations in product design and methods of delivery, through better use of technology and related processes. Facilitating credit through processors, input dealers, NGOs, etc., that are vertically integrated with the farmers, including through contract farming, for providing them critical inputs or processing their produce, could increase the credit flow to agriculture significantly.Agriculture plays a crucial role in the development of the Indian economy. It accounts for about 19 per cent of GDP and about two- thirds of the population is dependent on the sector. The importance of farm credit as a critical input to agriculture is reinforced by the unique role of Indian agriculture in the macroeconomic framework and its role in poverty alleviation. Recognising the importance of agriculture sector in India's development, the Government and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) have played a vital role in creating a broad-based institutional framework for catering to the increasing credit requirements of the sector. Agricultural policies in India have been reviewed from time to time to maintain pace with the changing requirements of the agriculture sector, which forms an important segment of the priority sector lending of scheduled commercial banks (SCBs) and target of 18 per cent of net bank credit has been stipulated for the sector. The Approach Paper to the Eleventh Five Year Plan has set a target of 4 per cent for the agriculture sector within the overall GDP growth target of 9 per cent. In this context, the need for affordable, sufficient and timely supply of institutional credit to agriculture has assumed critical importance.

2.1 What is a frequency distribution?

A frequency distribution shows the frequencies of occurrence of the observations in a data set. Often the distribution of the observed data is called an empirical frequency distribution, in contrast to the theoretical probability distribution determined from a mathematical model.

The class interval is a term used in statistics when we are given a continuous series. Class means a group of numbers in which items are placed such as 0-10, 10-20, 20-30, etc. Class interval refers to the numerical width of any class in a particular distribution.

2.2 Relative frequency distributions

Although creating a frequency distribution is a useful way of describing a set of observations, it is difficult to compare two or more frequency distributions if the total number of observations in each distribution is different. A way of overcoming this difficulty is to calculate the proportion or percentage of observations in each class or category. These are called relative frequencies and each is obtained by dividing the frequency for that category by the total number of observations (column 3 of Table 2.1). The sum of the relative frequencies of all the categories is unity (or 100%) apart from rounding errors.

Moreover, as noted earlier, definitions of the metaverse in existing literature and among professionals reflect the integration of physical objects in virtual space as a consumable description of the metaverse great role(Dwivedi et al., 2022). The key to any Metaverse technology is their user experience. Analysis of Metaverse applications shows that most current applications are stand-alone or centralized. These applications provide different user experiences, based on the cardinal technology and interface devices used to communicate within virtual environments.2
