Time neither can be created nor produced. Everyone has seven days in a week and twenty four hours in a day. No one can make it to twenty-five hours. Time is Wealth it’s up to you whether you invest it or expend it. So must invest it judiciously. Time management techniques consist of methods, guidelines, processes and other recommendations. There are five different types of time management tools that you must use and logically combine. They are Establish priorities, Set Goals, Make a Schedule, Plan ahead and Have a “to do” list. Steven Covey's famous book Seven Famous Habits talks about what is important versus what is urgent. Priority should be given in the order urgent and important followed by not urgent but important. We shall not be trapped in the false urgency by attempting the task which is urgent but not important. You can always delegate these tasks to someone else. Consider what you want to achieve, and then commit to it. Set SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound) goals that motivate you and write them down to make them feel tangible. Scheduling is the art of planning your activities so that you can achieve your goals and priorities in the time you have available. First determine the hours that you have available to work each week. Then allot the time of fixed blocks on priority of task this will help you plan ahead. The “to-do list” set you off in the right direction and help you focus on the tasks that are most important. With the right strategies, a “to-do list” can help you achieve larger goals, too.
