B.Sc.AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Course Overview

The Undergraduate Programme in Agribusiness Management offers three progressive qualifications: UG Certificate, UG Diploma and B.Sc. (Hons.) Agribusiness Management. The curriculum has been restructured in accordance with NEP 2020, with emphasis on building strong foundational knowledge, practical exposure, skill development and confidence for applying agribusiness management concepts. It incorporates skill enhancement courses, exposure visits, case studies, industry attachments, electives, online learning and experiential learning.

The four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) programme comprises 167 credits, along with 4 credits of non-gradial courses and 10 credits of online courses. The first two years give greater emphasis to flexible Skill Enhancement Courses, providing hands-on training and opportunities to develop employment and entrepreneurship-oriented competencies.

The programme provides multiple entry and exit options. Students may receive a UG Certificate after the first year and a 10-week internship, or a UG Diploma after the second year and a 10-week internship. Students completing the full four-year requirements are awarded the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree.

The third year focuses on intensive core Agribusiness Management courses, while the final year provides 20 credits of electives and a 20-credit Student READY programme, including RAWE, industrial attachment, experiential learning, hands-on training, projects and internships. The programme is designed to prepare students for employment, entrepreneurship and professional opportunities in agribusiness management.
