The Undergraduate Programme in Natural Farming is structured as per NEP 2020 and the ICAR Sixth Deans’ Committee framework, with emphasis on sustainable agriculture, practical learning, skill development and experiential education. The curriculum is based on Bhartiya Prakartik Krishi Paddhati (BPKP), focusing on soil health, water conservation, ecosystem sustainability, reduced external inputs and cost-effective farming practices.
The four-year B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) Natural Farming programme comprises 176 credits, including 10 credits of NC-MOOCs. The first year focuses on foundational knowledge and skill enhancement through flexible Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) and hands-on training.
The programme follows a multiple-entry and multiple-exit structure, offering a UG Certificate after the first year, UG Diploma after the second year, and B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) Natural Farming after four years, subject to prescribed coursework and internships.
Advanced years emphasize specialized knowledge, electives, research methodology, ethics, Student READY, RAWE, experiential learning, projects, internships and industry exposure, preparing students for sustainable farming, entrepreneurship, research and professional opportunities.
